Wedding Wednesday : Bridesmaid Jewelry

The teardrop bezel earring is one of my favorite pieces for bridesmaids gifts. I love it because it's the perfect pop of color/sparkle, shows up well in photos, and has a simple elegance. We stock it in several different stones, so there's almost always a stone that matches the color scheme of the wedding. It's also perfect if you want to mix and match different pieces for different bridesmaids. Clearly, we like it :)

Coming soon are Labradorite with gold & Amethyst in gold! Stay tuned or email meg@margaretelizabeth.com to pre-order. They should be here any day now!

Bridesmaid Inspiration Board

We're constantly working with brides to accessorize their bridesmaids and choose gifts that will not only match the color scheme of their wedding- but also serve as something their bridesmaids will want to wear long after the wedding.

The image above is an inspiration board we put together for a bride who sent us her Jenny Yoo fabric swatches and wants coordinating earrings. Which pair would you recommend she chooses?

If you're interested in accessorizing your bridesmaids- email info at margaretelizabeth.com or call us 978-808-2497) so that we can get started on designing the perfect look!

Wedding Wednesday: Coral

Wedding Wednesday- Little White Dress

Little White Dresses might be our favorite dress staple of the summer. So, it's no surprise that we love the Little White Dress collection from Kirribilla. Shown here is the Raquel dress (which also comes in black!) - and we think it would be so much fun as a Rehearsal Dress. We've accessorized it with our Seafoam Chalcedony faceted teardrop earrings.

What is your favorite look for Rehearsal Dinners?

ps- Can you tell we have weddings on the brain? One month from today Meg gets married!

A few olds, Mostly New...

New!

One thing we love about our beloved Margaret Elizabeth shoppers...they know what they like! Two things they seem to be loving this season are mint green & the peachy, punchy fun you see in these coral necklaces above. They *just* went up on the site...and one of them may or may not be inspired by the ever fabulous Katniss Everdeen (hunger games lovers?!?)....

...May the odds be ever in your favor! Scoop 'em up while they're still around...

Bella Bridesmaid Guest Post

We're working with the lovely ladies of Bella Bridesmaid today to share a post about a wedding trend we're loving. Check out what we had to say!

We absolutely adore working with brides to come up with accessories that match the style, theme, and colors of their special day. One trend that we're seeing a lot (and really like!) is the mixing & matching of colors and textures. In this look we have a fun Ivy & Aster social dress- and we've paired it with several different accessories, so that there is one unique piece for each bridesmaid.

The thing we like about this look is that the palette of the bridesmaid dress stays the same, but having each girl in a slightly different piece of jewelry adds a bit of variety and personalization.

Wedding Wednesday: Yellow & Chrysopase

Nothing says a summer wedding like crisp, yellow bridesmaid dresses! We love the combo of yellow with the chrysopase stone, seen here as our Chrysopase/Druzy drops. Pop of color + subtle sparkle....accessory heaven!

ps- how delicious does that lemon curd cupcake look? Recipe found here.

Our first post in a new series: Wedding Wednesdays. We work on so much jewelry for weddings & thought it would be fun to put together inspiration boards with different color palettes. We're kicking off the series with one of our absolute favorites- navy blue bridesmaid dresses & aqua earrings.

Bridesmaid Brooches

Sneak peak of a little project we've been working on these past few weeks for a bride in Pennsylvania. Typically we take antique brooches and re-purpose them into statement necklaces, but this bride is giving the brooches to her bridesmaids as special keepsakes- we can't wait to see how she uses them! In the meantime, we snapped a few photos of them hanging around the studio.

Sneak Peak - DC Wedding

A few sneak peak pics from a wedding we did in Washington DC! Bridesmaids wore custom designed freshwater pearl cluster earrings with gold vermeil teardops. A classic look to go with those long, navy dresses!  More pictures coming soon!

Recent Wedding

A few pics from a recent wedding we had so much fun working on. We worked with a lovely bride to design custom earrings to match those fabulous dresses, sashes, and beautiful flowers. (How pretty is the color of those dresses?) The dresses aren't totally pink or red, so we went with gold loops and a ruby moonstone to pick up both hues. Everyone looked beautiful...and from what we can see from the pictures, the wedding looked like a lot of fun! Thanks for sharing, Michaela

Glam

This is a necklace we custom designed for a bride a year ago. Made from a vintage crystal brooch and two strands of faceted amethyst, the bride worked with Meg to create this design for her wedding weekend. A fun piece and a true mix of modern & traditional!
